Ines is an inspiration with an obvious passion and flare for salsa and for teaching. Over the past year we have learnt a comprehensive number
of dance seqeunces and basic techniques. We have also made new
friends, had great fun and enjoy dancing at her monthly salsa parties at
Ivybridge.

Ines's lessons are a great way to learn Salsa. Rather than learning
completely separate unconnected moves, Ines teaches a series of
linked moves which are repeated and extended each week. This gives
new dancers, especially those leading , real confidence - enabling
them to complete a whole routine within a comparatively short space
of time. Not only is it great fun but it's also a really enjoyable way of
keeping fit.

Ines combines a rare mixture of traditional South American Salsa with
contemporary idiom. In place of over-complicated moves based upon
technical manipulation, Ines blends the language of Salsa "culture" with
attitude and style giving the student a musically reactive dance
capability rather than just a series of moves which might just fit the
next beat. Totally conversant with male and female dance parts, Ines
can bridge the gap between learners of both sexes and build an
understanding of communication between partners.

Ines has a natural rhythm and style. She knows salsa men and
ladies' steps inside out and can spot and correct mistakes straight
away. I attended here lessons for the past 2 years at Saltash
College. I became a salsa addict and visited other salsa places
during the week. That made me realize that Ines is a good teacher.
She has the habit of going back revising the previous lesson to ensure
we learn correctly. I have found that many dance instructors have
big egos. They show you a move and expect you to understand it
right away. Thanks to Ines and her patience I now know advanced
sequences and am a confident salsa dancer.

did not know what to expect. But with the wonderful music and great
teacher I was very quickly put at ease and it wa not long before I
became aware that salsa is as much a way of life as it is a dance.

I would highly recommend Ines who is hardworking, very
professional, competent, talented and a gifted teacher. Her
styles, techniques, rhythms are positive, strong and is truly of a
very high Latin American standard. Her charismatic and jovial
character makes everyone relaxed and this makes salsa very
enjoyable and fun, as well as keeping one fit. She sees the
potential in her students and brings out the best in everyone as well
as giving encouragement and making sure everyone is progressing
even after one session. To further encourage her students she has a
monthly salsa party where students from other classes meet and
socialize and feel free to practise what they have learnt without
feeling embarrassed. She is definitely the best teacher in the South
West.

Ines we really enjoy Tuesday evenings at The Seven Stars in
Kingsbridge. Salsa is a great way to meet new people and have
fun, as well as learning to dance to fantastic latin music - there's
nothing like it!
